When the church was built, a system was installed that was very close to or possibly even at the end of its supported life. LED lamps and dimmers to handle them were still not very common. A few years ago the main control panel which allows changes to be made to the lighting scenes failed and we cannot get parts for it. LED lamps have been installed for energy efficiency throughout most of the complex which require dimmers designed for LED. The first phase of the project, the control system, is funded. It is the actual fixtures that we are seeking donations for with this campaign.
In addition, there have been a few changes over the years such as the addition of the stained glass. When this feature was added, lights were added which are controlled separately. The lighting control system upgrade adds unified control of this added lighting. There has also been an effort to transition as many fixtures as possible to LED lamps. We hope to gain control over the dimming of these LED lamps.
