Heavenly Father, 
          God of Power and Wisdom, Justice and Charity, through the intercession of St. Thomas More, patron saint of politicians, we pray that You inspire the hearts of all who serve in political office to:
 
 * enact laws and policies that promote justice and fairness;
* defend the life and dignity of all persons, from conception to natural death;
* protect the nuclear family with policies that strengthen the bonds of marriage and commitment;
  * meet the needs of the poor and vulnerable;
         * safeguard the freedom of religion, allowing individuals to practice their faith without fear of persecution;
         * make sound economic decisions that foster growth and ensure productive work and fair wages;
        * invest in the future through quality education;
         * provide national security, promoting peace and cooperation among nations;
         * be stewards of the Earth, preserving the environment for future generations;
         * be servant leaders who seek Your divine guidance in all decisions they make, large or small.
